Basketball

Today were the boys' last basketball games for the season. YAAAAAAA! They both did great and look to have a future in basketball. I am looking forward to having my Saturdays back again, even if it is only a few weeks until Baseball season starts.

We got a call this last week that Garrison was drafted into the Major league (Astros) of little league baseball. We were kind of surprised as last year was his first year playing little league and kid pitch, and he broke his finger towards the beginning of last season and had to sit out a few games. Anyways they say that he is talented enough that he needed to be on the Major team. He is excited but a little nervous as well. At try outs (everyone ages 9-13) is supposed to tryout, last year we didn't we just put him in Minors, but this year at try outs he hit every fast ball that the AllStar pitcher pitched to him and he hadn't practiced hitting since last year!! What a young man!!! Tyler is going to be in Coach pitch one more year, as that's all that 2nd graders are allowed. I am glad that they enjoy sports so much, at least I think that I am.

The Beginning

Wow- I can't believe that I am actually starting a blog! Jason, my hubby, will probably be thrilled. He thinks that it is so time consuming, and he's right, but I have been preparing a program for the Relief Society Birthday Party next month and I feel the need to be better about journal writing. So even if I write something that just my children can have in the future, I will be fulfilling my goal.
